An update on the happenings within Northline’s International department

It has been a very busy and exciting quarter for Northline’s International Freight Management team.

Firstly, from a people perspective, we have introduced three new sales managers and three new business development executives to the team, now expanding our sales resources locally across five states (QLD, NSW, VIC, SA and WA).

We have also been focused on executing our technology advancement strategy, by introducing a series of software solutions around both supply chain visibility and procurement, each providing innovation and efficiency, but most importantly – adding value to our customers.

Firstly, we implemented LogixBoard, a best-in-class customer portal, offering order management, end-to-end visibility, status reporting and real-time chat functionality, to name a few. Ultimately, connecting our customers with the accurate location of their freight or directing them to our national-based customer service team for support.

Following this, we have also introduced Freightify to our operations, automating and innovating the procurement and quotations process, allowing the most appropriate quotation to meet our customers’ needs in minutes and, upon acceptance, integrate the quote directly into our CargoWise One ERP operating system, providing for a seamless order management and billing process.

Finally, from a network perspective, we have expanded our network by over 560 partners, located across over 130 countries, strengthening our ability to service our customers’ supply chain requirements from anywhere around the globe, whatever they may be.

Northline’s future plan remains simple and unwavering and will:

    • Continue to expand and strengthen our Global Network and market reach
    • Develop our service offering in line with evolving market conditions & customer requirements
    • Continue to invest in technology and people where necessary
    • Strengthen contract hold with Shipping Lines
    • Capitalise on contract hold via Global Partners
