The new roles will span multiple departments, including freight management, distribution, and logistics, offering opportunities for career growth in one of Australia’s most established freight companies.
The expansion leverages Northline’s strong international growth in recent years, adding more than 560 partners across over 130 countries to enhance their capacity for meeting customer supply chain needs globally.
Northline’s Chief Executive Officer Craige Whitton says the expansion marks a new chapter for the company.
“Our international business has increased by 70% in the last 12 months, and the need to enhance our capabilities across IT and logistics has never been stronger,” Mr Whitton said.
“This growth and our relocation to a new, custom designed Service Centre allows us to invest in the right people and technologies to strengthen our position in the market.”
This momentum has also driven investment in IT services, including the launch of a new International Freight Customer Portal in early 2024 and the development of advanced digital tools to streamline logistics operations.
“In an increasingly digital world, we take great pride in being able to adapt and provide innovative logistics solutions, especially when we compete on a global scale,” Mr Whitton said.
“We are looking to add staff who can bring fresh ideas and help drive our continued innovation and success.”
Located at 68 King William Street, Kent Town in Adelaide’s inner eastern suburbs, the new $16 million National Service Centre will accommodate the national customer service team, as well as administration support for the company’s freight management, warehousing, distribution, and logistics divisions. .
“We were founded here in South Australia – it is an important part of our history and our identity.
“This relocation reflects our ongoing commitment to both our customers and the South Australian community, and we’re excited to contribute to further job growth and economic development in the state.”
